What you agree to when you book a stay or use this website, what we agree to in return, and the handful of rules that keep a shared campus working for everybody on it.
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Who we are
This website, thereversal.org, is operated by The Reversal by Simino, at Near Jhumuka Dam, Bhubaneswar, Odisha 752054, India. In these terms "we", "us" and "The Reversal" mean that entity, and "you" means the person making a booking or using this site.
2. Using this website
The content here is offered for general information about the campus and its programs. We keep it as accurate as we can, but facilities, timings, menus, therapies and rates change — particularly with the season. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance; a booking exists only once we have confirmed it to you in writing and received any deposit due.
You may not copy, republish or reuse the text, photographs or design of this site without our written permission.
3. Enquiries and bookings
The enquiry form on this site does not submit anything to a server. It composes your details into a WhatsApp message or an email that you send yourself, so an enquiry reaches us only when you actually send it. See the privacy policy for what that means for your data.
A booking is confirmed when we have written to you with your dates, the program, the total payable, and we have received the deposit set out in the cancellation policy. Please check the confirmation carefully and tell us at once if anything is wrong.
4. Rates and what they include
Rates are quoted per stay or per program, in Indian Rupees, and are valid for 14 days from the date of the quote. Unless your quote says otherwise, a rate includes your room, all meals at the Odia Dhaba and use of the campus — the lawn, the pool, the play area and the trails.
Therapies at the Panchatatwa unit are billed with the program or by the session. Airport and station transfers are charged separately. Taxes are additional to quoted rates.
5. Arrival and departure
Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability and may carry a charge. Retreat programs begin on fixed dates and we ask you to arrive in time for the intake assessment, since the rest of the week is planned from it.
Please bring photo identification for every adult guest, as required for accommodation in India.
6. Health, therapies and suitability
This matters more here than the rest of these terms, so please read it.
- The Reversal is not a hospital and does not provide medical treatment. Nothing offered here diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition, and no program promises to reverse one.
- We work alongside your doctor, not in place of them. Continue any prescribed medication unless your own physician tells you otherwise. We cannot alter, pause or replace a prescription.
- Tell us the truth about your health. You agree to disclose your medical history, current conditions, medication, allergies and pregnancy at or before the intake assessment. Therapies are chosen on the strength of what you tell us, and an incomplete history can make a therapy unsafe.
- Therapies are prescribed, not selected from a menu. Our physician decides what is suitable for you and may decline a therapy on medical grounds. That decision is final.
- Some conditions are not suitable. Guests who are pregnant, recovering from recent surgery, or being treated for serious cardiac, kidney, liver or psychiatric conditions must tell us before booking. We may be unable to accept the booking, and we would rather say so before you travel. Age limits for the wellness unit: therapies are available to guests aged 16 and over, and guests over 70 are asked for a note of fitness from their treating physician.
- In an emergency we will arrange transfer to the nearest hospital. The cost of any outside medical treatment, ambulance or hospital admission is yours.
7. On the campus
A shared campus works on a few plain rules:
- Alcohol, smoking and recreational drugs are not permitted anywhere on the campus.
- Retreat guests follow the diet planned with the doctor. Outside food and drink can undo a week's work, so please check with us first.
- The campus is quiet after 10:00 PM. Mornings start early here.
- Children are welcome and remain the responsibility of the adults they came with, particularly at the pool and the play area.
- Swim only during the hours the pool is open. Take the trails with a guide unless we have told you a route is fine alone.
- Please treat the campus, its staff and other guests with courtesy. We may ask a guest to leave, without refund, for behaviour that puts others at risk or repeatedly disturbs them.
- Pets: not permitted.
8. Your belongings
Please look after your own valuables. A safe is available at reception for passports, cash and jewellery. Except where we are at fault, we are not responsible for property lost, damaged or left behind on the campus. Vehicles are parked at your own risk.
9. Photography
We photograph the campus for our website and social media. We will always ask before publishing a photograph in which you are identifiable, and you can decline or ask us to take one down later — write to hello@thereversal.org and it comes down.
Please be considerate photographing other guests, and do not photograph inside the therapy rooms.
10. Liability
Trekking, swimming, yoga and the play area carry ordinary physical risks and you take part at your own risk, using your own judgement about what your body can do that day. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited under Indian law. Subject to that, our liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.
11. Force majeure
We are not liable for failing to provide a stay because of events outside our reasonable control — extreme weather, flood, fire, epidemic, government direction, failure of public utilities or civil disturbance. In those cases the "if we have to cancel" section of the cancellation policy applies.
12. Cancellation
Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds are governed by our cancellation and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
13. Complaints
Tell us while you are here if something is wrong — almost everything can be fixed the same day. If it cannot, write to hello@thereversal.org and we will respond within 7 working days.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when your booking was confirmed, and we will send you a copy on request.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
