Why it exists
The supply was better than the reputation.
Patients from Odisha's own districts board overnight trains to Chennai and Hyderabad for procedures that three hospitals in Bhubaneswar do routinely. Families abroad, trying to arrange care for a parent in Cuttack, find a website with a form on it and no name behind it.
HealthTour Odisha is a marketplace: verified hospitals, clinics, diagnostics, Ayurveda and naturopathy units and recovery stays across the state, with the travel around the treatment arranged as carefully as the treatment itself.
The difference is who is behind it. Dr Gyanaranjan Pradhan runs two 25-bed hospitals and The Reversal, a wellness resort near Jhumuka Dam. He has spent nearly two decades on the same problem from the inside — first as a physiotherapist, then as an operator, watching patients travel too far, get quoted verbally, and go home without a plan.
A marketplace built by an operator has a standard to keep, because the same standard applies to his own wards.
